ThirdEye Gen Unveils New Software Partner Generate Program
Ahead of the company’s appearance on the CE Week conference program stage, ThirdEye Gen announced a new program that is aimed at helping to quickly expand the company’s developer community, and providing those developers with opportunities to partner together. ThirdEye has made waves over the past few years with their development of various augmented and mixed reality solutions, including their X2 MR glasses.
The ThirdEye Gen Software Partner Generate program will have three main components: a revenue share agreement, a partner success program, and a lease program.
Through the Revenue Share Agreement, software developers and companies will have two options to generate additional revenue with ThirdEye’s X2 mixed reality glasses. They can become a value-added reseller where they buy the X2 smart glasses, put their software on it, and then resell it at a value-added price and for bulk quantities. Or they can earn two-way commission. That allows ThirdEye to pay commission base on deals generated by the software partner, and the software partner can pay commission base to ThirdEye based on deals that ThirdEye generates for the software partner.
With the Partner Success Program, ThirdEye’s in-house software team will offer free developer support to help their software partners get their programs up and running smoothly on the X2 glasses. Developers will essentially have unrestricted access to the team of in-house developers who designed and created the X2 glasses, given them the opportunity to take full advantage of all of the features, sensors, and capabilities that were built into the X2 glasses.
And lastly, the Lease Program will be ideal for large-scale deployments of the X2 glasses. ThirdEye will give developers the option to go the two-year lease route in order to spread the cost of those glasses out across 24 months, creating a more affordable and “unique payment structure.”
“We support our developer community and understand how important their role is to improving the applications for our X2 glasses, which is why we are so excited to implement this first of its kind software partnership program to strengthen and grow those relationships,” Nick Cherukuri, Founder of ThirdEye Gen, said in a statement. “Our goal is for developers to get the most out of our hardware – both with functionality and pricing.”
The new Software Partner Generate Program will be offered alongside some of the other opportunities ThirdEye currently has for its developer community. That includes the ThirdEye App Store, joint marketing efforts, a Developers Documentation portal, and more.
