For the first couple of years the event featured mostly just sound off contests and showcases of participants' cars. This was great for the hordes of car audio enthusiasts that attended the event, but, over time, growth in attendance alerted Narimanian to a problem.
"There were people that they brought along that seemed bored," he recalls, explaining that more and more people were tagging along with the hobbyists, but had little to do but sit idly by.
"That's where we came up with the idea of different games," says Narimanian. "From time to time we bring in local celebrities or whoever we can afford. At every event we try to have something different from the year before."
