Texas Instruments launched a new ad campaign Monday designed to turn HDTV consumer attention away from plasma and LCD and towards their DLP technology. The ad campaign is themed “It’s amazing. It’s the mirrors.” in reference to the millions of tiny mirrors that make up one of the chips used in a DLP display. The theme lends its name to the website for the campaign, which also launched Monday, www.itsthemirrors.com The campaign includes four television ads directed by frequent Spike Lee cinematographer Mayik Sayeed, and involve a girl and her elephant (really) sharing the wonders of DLP technology with everyday folks and celebrities.
