Toddlers Embrace Tech Devices
One of the fastest growing market demographics for electronics this holiday season is children- really, really small children. According to the New York Times, electronics gadgets aimed at children under 7- and sometimes under 3- are in huge demand this year, with electronic products from Fisher Price and other toy companies taking high spots on Amazon.com lists.
Forget about toy phones. Pre-schoolers these days want the real thing. They’re asking Santa for everything from cell phones to laptops to music players, and toy companies are stepping up to fill that demand. The most popular, according to Amazon’s “Hottest Toys” list, include several different versions of a “Barbie Girls” mp3 player, as well as the Fisher Price Smart Cycle, a toy resembling an exercise bike that comes attaches to a video game.
