The GPS navigation provider TomTom has teamed up with Google to make it easier for users to send directions directly from Google Maps to their TomTom devices.
According to FT.com, the service requires removing the device from the user’s car and attaching it to a computer. However, TomTom recently launched, in Europe, a series of products that include a mobile data link.
Earlier this week, TomTom’s purchase of map-software maker Tele Atlas was approved by TomTom’s shareholders.
