GPS technology innovator TomTom has unwrapped three new wearables with unique feature sets, at the Berlin IFA show, with availability slated for October.
The water-resistant TomTom Touch fitness tracker ($129.99; with different color bands available for $29.99 as options) is the company’s first such product with a continuous heart rate monitoring capability that also enables body composition analysis (BCA) on the wrist. It features a touch screen that allows access to any desired screen with a swipe. It also offers a new, sleek form factor, smartphone notification capability and has up to five days’ battery life before needing a recharge, said the company. The Touch also monitors, 24/7, activities such as steps taken, sleep and heart rate. It works in conjunction with the MySports app to track the wearer’s progress.
