The entry-level C Series laptops (14, 15.6 and 17.3 inches; $400 to mid-$500 range), in a plastic chassis, offers trickle-down features from more expensive models, such as HDMI outputs and USB 3.0 ports. The series also has the newly designed, larger touchpad that carries through all the new lines, said Bae.
The L Series laptops (14, 15.6 and 17.3 inches; $500 to $700) add better processing, dual USB 3.0, a Sleep and Charge function and a raised keyboard design, along with improved sound quality through the addition of SRS processing.
The back-to-school-targeted performance-optimized Satellite S laptop series features a brushed-aluminum finish, and hard drives with more memory ($700 to $1,000 range). And the Satellite P series, premium-performance laptops to be sold through Best Buy, feature etched aluminum chassis and Harman/Kardon speaker technology, along with a backlit keyboard and a Sleep and Music feature that allows MP3 file listening while the machine is charging.
