Touchscreen Computers, Coming From Dell
Dell’s next generation of new products will include a touchscreen laptop, a television/PC based on a tabletop, as the company continues to reinvent itself. That’s the word from founder/CEO Michael Dell, according to an Atlanta Journal-Constitutional account of a speech last week.
In remarks at the Oracle-sponsored OpenWorld conference in San Francisco last week, Dell and his chief technology officer, Kevin Kettler, spoke about the new products to come, and also touted Dell’s new green initiatives.
The tabletop device may be introduced by the end of the year; no timetable has been announced for the touchscreen PC, which will allow users to move objects around on screen.
