That’s not to say that traditional product categories aren’t strong suits in the New Age product arsenal. “We’re seeking out categories to bring new offerings to our dealers at different price points so they can bundle them in some instances with other brands we have,” said Towns.
High in importance to New Age, Towns said, is the continued expansion of the small appliances category. The company brought in the Sencor line early this year, and is looking at expanding brand offerings in this arena, he said.
Towns said the buzz among dealer attendees at this Summit stemmed from their excitement about the expanded learning opportunities that the statistical talks provided. “I think the dealers were also impressed to learn of [parent company] SYNNEX’s size,” Towns said, alluding to the presentation by SYNNEX CEO Kevin Murai that provided a sense of just how broad the company’s reach is.
