Toy Fair 2020: WowWee Fields Expanded Baby Shark Lineup
WowWee was at the New York City-held Toy Fair with a vastly expanded lineup of Baby Shark-themed products using proprietary technologies across several categories. Among them is the Pinkfong Baby Shark Dancing DJ ($39.99, for ages 2 and up), arriving on market in Fall 2020.
The Dancing DJ plays five Baby Shark songs and remixes, including the viral Baby Shark song, which has amassed over four billion online global views, says WowWee. Outfitted with dance detection technology, Other new additions include the Baby Shark Musical Playpad, Baby Shark Sing & Snuggle Plush and Baby Shark Silly Sing-Along Microphone.
In another area of the company’s expansive booth, WowWee invited visitors to experience its Power Treads all-surface vehicles, packaged with a modular track set (ages 5 and up; available in late Summer). The vehicles flip and roam the tracks, and budding racers can customize the experience, building trails on an unlimited scale, and even using improvised, home-made tracks make of clear plastic tubing or corrugated cardboard; there are thousands of track configurations possible, says WowWee. Tracks are interchangeable; they may be placed closer together for more control or expanded for more challenging routes. The Full Throttle Pack ($24.99) comes complete with one Power Treads all-surface vehicle, 22 treads, a 14-piece modular track set, two performance boosters and a glow-in-the-dark sticker sheet. A deluxe pack with double the number of tracks will also be available at $39.99.
A number of new WowWee games was also shown; these included the Hands Full! interactive family game ($24.99). It entails hand-eye coordination and is really three games in one, challenging players to keep their hands full while they jump, high five, shake, dance and twist.
