Toys "R" Us Plans Temporary Stores
Toys "R" Us is planning 80 temporary stores this fall, most of which will be situated in shopping malls and centers, Bloomberg News reported.
The new stores, which will fill a total of more than a million square feet of additional retail space, will debut in October and continue through the holidays. They are known as "Holiday Express" stores.
The chain had tested the concept in New York in 2007; last year was the considered the worst holiday shopping season in decades.
