Tucson Police Called in Best Buy Dispute
In what is becoming an annual story, Black Friday was not without its share of fisticuffs. At one Best Buy location in Tuscon, Ariz., police were called in three different times due to fights between customers in line on Friday morning. According to the Arizona Daily Star, no arrests were made.
At a Wal*Mart in New York’s Hudson Valley in 2005, several female shoppers were knocked to the floor and trampled, with one pinned against a cash register, after a store employee opened the festivities by telling customers “On your mark. Get set. Kill each other.” Police were called, but no one was seriously injured. The same year, a man in Orlando, Fla. was wrestled to the ground shortly after doors opened.
