TWICE Editor John Laposky Passes
John Laposky, 51, content director of TWICE, died on April 11, after a sudden illness.
Laposky joined TWICE in 1995 as its managing editor, after a year of freelancing as the managing editor of the Consumer Electronics Show’s CES Daily magazine, produced by TWICE. As TWICE’s full-time managing editor, he supervised content, design and production of the print publication as well as its website and e-newsletters.
He was named editor in chief of the consumer technology trade publication in August 2014.
A Pennsylvania native, Laposky was a 1988 graduate of Lehigh University, where he studied Journalism. His career began at Spin Magazine, where he interned, and after that, he worked as a publishing assistant at Circulation Management Magazine. He left there to join Reed Business Information in 1992 as copy editor of Home Textiles Today.
A lover of music, cooking and baseball, Laposky is survived by his wife, Danielle, and two sons, Nate, 14, and Joe, 12.
