UNBOXED: Reviewing the Fitzroy Satchel by Toffee
I love me a good, solid bag to commute to and from the office. That’s not to say I’m a man of great fashion sense or anything—hence I write for a tech pub and not, say, GQ—but I find that I’m almost pickier than I should be when it comes to work bags or backpacks. And I know that I’m not the only person in the tech world to feel as such.
So, when it comes to Unboxing a bag—in this case the Fitzroy Satchel by Toffee—I consider myself a rather tough customer. Imagine how pleasantly surprised I was, then, after putting Toffee’s bag through the rigors of a daily commute into the City of Brotherly Love (which involves biking to a train station, taking the SEPTA train into Center City, and then an additional walk through downtown into the office), only to have the bag hold up through it all and even come out as one of my favorite totes I’ve ever strapped over a single shoulder.
Available in three different sizes (11-, 13-, and 15-inches), the bag is constructed out of a premium water resistant and waxed canvas that make it a super sturdy product that can take a beating without actually looking like it has taken a beating. And the shoulder pad on the strap provides the perfect amount of support for when you’re carrying around more than you ought to be in the bag itself.
