When looking at the mobile gaming experience, the one complaint that I constantly hear (and wholeheartedly agree with) is that it isn’t as seamless as, say, the console gaming experience. The problem, really, is that the user’s fingers just get it in the way. You’re trying to move a character across the screen and you have to either swipe, or part of the screen is dedicated to a “d-pad” that ends up covering a good chunk of the action.
Mobile gaming, to this point, has been great for things like racing games—where gyroscopic technology takes over—and games like Flappy Bird and Angry Bird, where the entire game is based around one repetitive gesture.
