One of the most important audio categories over the course of the next year is going to be the wireless earbuds market. In 2016 we saw Apple roll out a smartphone that was missing one feature that had been a mainstay, as far as the design is concerned, since the phone was launched: the headphone jack. And, like with every major technological decision the Cupertino-based company makes, new products follow as consumers begin to adapt.
Of course, Apple has their own pair of wireless earbuds with the Airpods. But the consumer isn’t tied to just whatever it is Tim Cook is able to cook up. There are plenty of other options out there. And for a recent episode of UNBOXED, that’s what we set out to discover—the other options.
We narrowed the scope of the review down to three: Rowkin’s Bit Charge earbuds, the Jabra Elite Sport earbuds, and Bragi’s The Dash. We’re reviewing the Jabra Elite Sport wireless earbuds here, but be sure to check out our Rowkin Bit Charge and Bragi The Dash reviews as well.
