UNBOXED: Reviewing Jam Audio Wi-Fi Rhythm and Symphony Speakers
When I first heard about Wi-Fi speakers from Jam Audio, I was curious about the careful distinction. These were not something to hook into existing receivers, it was not a pseudo-soundbar, and it certainly didn't have Bluetooth. So what exactly are they supposed to do? After a few months of testing, I've finally figured out that Jam Audio's Rhythm and Symphony aren't made for everyone, but anyone can appreciate them.
Using the speakers as an ecosystem isn't exactly difficult. If I have any hesitation in that statement, it's because they aren't foolproof either.
At the heart of the speaker is an app that can be downloaded from both the iTunes and Android store. It takes a healthy amount of effort (read mild frustration) to get everything syncing to each other, updated and in a group, but is very stable after the initial set-up.
