For the first time since the company was launched in 2013, Urbanears is releasing a new product. The company’s Sumpan headphones are described as being a lightweight, semi-earbud that comes packed with “big personality.”
The headphones come in a range of colors and have a number of unique features like a behind-the-neck hook function, easily washable and replaceable earbuds, and a full range of sound with a deep base, according to Urbanear. Enclosed sleeves allow the user to adjust the size of the earpiece for maximum comfortability.
Among the features that Urbanears touted of its new product is the hook construction of the earpieces themselves that allow users to simply hook the headphones together and hang them across the back of one’s neck when they aren’t using them. And, as with all Urbanears headphones, the cord for the new Sumpan product is made of fabric. The company said this helps to reduce distortion caused by friction—it’s also a way to prevent the typical fraying that iPhone users are accustomed to experiencing.
