URC Launches Partner Program
Universal Remote Control (URC) last week announced the launch of its new Complete Control Partner Program (CCPP). According to the company, the purpose of the program is to help the company “grow closer with the manufacturers whose devices its products control.” It begins with 18 charter members, under the direction of URC director of research (and former CEDIA president) Mitchell Klein.
“CCCP will provide URC dealers with reliable, seamless integration and interoperability across a wide variety of the industry’s finest consumer electronics products,” Klein said in a statement announcing the program. “Through CCPP, we will assure dealers that products from their preferred vendors will perform as promised, consistently and in a predictable manner.
The charter members of CCPP are Anchor Bay Technologies, AudioControl, Audio Design Associates (ADA), Classé Audio, CentraLite Systems, Denon, Hitachi, Integra, Key Digital, Lutron, Marantz, NuVision, Onkyo, Sharp, Sony, Sooloos, Sunfire and VUDU; the company said more will be added.
