URC Launches Keypad System
URC said this week that it has launched a new Network Keypad System, featuring both a new network keypad and a network base station.
The two components, the KP-4000 2-Way Network Keypad and MRX-1 Network Base Station, are meant to communicate with other components through a home's local network.
“These products by nature are live on the network," the company's vice president of technology, Eric Johnson, said as part of the announcement. "They speak IP, are quicker and more reliable, and easily communicate in a 2-way fashion with any other networked device via hundreds of free preprogrammed modules from URC and from our installers-only URC Toolbox, which features modules from URC installers and partners.”
