4. Remotes Are Universal. I hate to use that word again but there's no better way to say it. How many households in the U.S. do not have a television? Every home that has any sort of electronic entertainment is a potential remote customer.
5. Remotes Are Profitable. You can make a handsome margin on a single sale. Even better, sell multiple controls into a single home. Many families have two or more televisions, and each deserves its own remote control. To get started, consider selling at least three SKUs to cover the price points suitable to your clientele. IR remotes are categorized by the number of devices they can control. For most residential applications, the ability to handle six components is sufficient.
