UX Design Awards Field Narrows to 50 Finalists
The UX Design Awards 2019 field is down to 50 finalists after a panel of seven judges whittled through countless nominations for the annual tech competition. The final products, which hail from more than 20 countries, will be showcased in Berlin during the IFA 2019 event September 6-11. Solutions in the competition support people in the areas of health and care, mobility, communications, agriculture, and more.
The focus of the program is to highlight products that excel at providing an outstanding user experience. Organized by the International Design Center Berlin (IDZ), the range of products and solutions are judged based on their ability to increase the added value of applications, technologies, and services “through positive experiences,” thus contributing to “the responsible design of a future-oriented living environment.”
Companies and agencies that will see their products on display in Berlin includes Daimler AG, Electrolux Group Design EMA, GE Healthcare, ReSound A/S, LG Electronics, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Philips, and Samsung among many others. IDZ hosts an award ceremony at IFA on the first day that the show is open. After IFA 2019 closes, IDZ will open a public vote for the Audience Award that runs through the end of October. The winner of that award will be announced in November.
