Verizon Offering Free DVR Use With FiOS
Verizon has added a new incentive for users to switch to its FiOS TV service- free use of a high-definition digital video recorder for a year. The promotion, which runs from now through Oct. 4, is geared towards the start of the new fall TV season.
“High-def is hot, and FiOS TV is delivered over the network that’s built for HD,” the company’s vice president of video solutions, Shawn Strickland, said as part of the announcement. “Our new offer combines the excitement of premium movies with the convenience and advanced technology of our high-def DVRs. It’s a great time for people to experience HD the way it’s meant to be seen, with the sharpness and clarity of FiOS TV.”
Both regular DVRs and HD Home Media DVRs are available through the offer. In addition, those either signing up for the first time or upgrading to a bundled package will receive one free month of both HBO and Cinemax.
