Verizon to Sell FiOS Through Boston Furniture Chain
Verizon has worked out a unique deal with the venerable Boston-area furniture chain Jordan’s Furniture in which Verizon will situate a “lifestyle store” in the chain’s Reading, Mass., location, so that customers can sample FiOS Internet and television services will sitting in coaches and chairs from Jordan’s.
Verizon will also put kiosks in other area Jordan’s stores, and has agreed to purchase naming rights for a trio of movie theaters- two IMAX and one standard- owned by Jordan’s in suburban Boston.
“Verizon and Jordan’s win because of the multitude of on-site and on-screen opportunities that are available for cross-promotion,” Eliot Tatelman, president and CEO of Jordan’s, said in a statement. “However, most importantly, the customers win because of the additional products now available under one roof. Customers will be able to literally experience Verizon technology, all in the comfort of the furniture showrooms of Jordan’s.”
