Verizon To Launch “iPhone Killer,” Three Other Phones
Left out of the iPhone bonanza when Apple’s popular phone went exclusively with AT&T, Verizon is coming back with a phone of its own: The LG Voyager. According to the AP, the Voyager, which like the iPhone features a touchscreen display, easy Internet and e-mail access, and music/video capabilities.
The Voyager also comes with a keyboard that folds open, as well as a camera. It is one of four new phones for the holiday announced by Verizon Tuesday; the others are a Verizon version of the BlackBerry Pearl, a two-screen LG phone called the Venus, and a smaller, Samsung-made phone called the Juke.
No specific pricing or release date information has yet been announced by Verizon, but an executive told the AP that the phones will arrive before Thanksgiving.
