Southern California retailer Video & Audio Center, which recently expanded its regional footprint in the area with the opening in January of its latest location—a uniquely appointed interactive store (and its flagship) in the Westfield Century City open-air mall—has received a citation from Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti for its role in the community.
The citation especially notes the “tremendously positive impact” of the business on the L.A. economy, and mentions the fact that the store has generated more than 300 jobs in the city. The store has five locations: the Westfield Century City store, plus outlets in Santa Monica, Lawndale, Woodland Hills and Agoura Hills.
The certificate states:
On behalf of the City of Los Angeles and the Fourth Council District, we would like to recognize you for the tremendously positive impact you have had on our community and our economy. As a creator of more than three hundred jobs in our City, your business is truly exemplary and inspirational. We commend your hard work and dedication for the significant impact you have made to our community, and wish you continued success in all your future endeavors.
It is signed by Mayor Garcetti, as well as David E. Ryu, Councilmember in the 4th District, and Paul Koretz, Councilmember in the 5th District.
