ViewSonic Gaming Monitors to Include OLED Model
At the Showstoppers event during CES 2020, ViewSonic fielded a trio of gaming monitors that will be marketed under its ELITE series banner – including a large-format 55-inch OLED monitor that at press time was set to deploy to the market during the 2020 holiday season, at around the same time the newest gaming consoles will also hit retail, the company said.
The Elite XG550 OLED gaming monitor will offer native 4K Ultra HD (3840x2160) resolution, 0.5 (GtG) response time and up to a 120Hz refresh rate, and it will also feature 99% DCI-P3 color gamut support.
Other monitors on view included the 27-inch Model XG270QC, set for availability in Q2 of 2020. It has a curved-screen design and offers a 165Hz refresh rate/3ms response time (1ms MPRT). Its DCI-P3 color gamut support is greater than 90%, says ViewSonic.
The 27-inch XG270 IPS monitor, available currently from the company at an estimated street price of $429, was also shown. It provides native Full HD (1920x1080) resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms GtG response time. Additionally, it features NVIDIA G-Synch compatibility and it supports VESA Adaptive Sync technology, says ViewSonic.
