ViewSonic Shows 4K Monitor, LightStream Projector Range
ViewSonic’s selection of monitors has been augmented with the addition of the 27-inch VP2780 – which can display 4K Ultra HD and carries a street price of $799, according to Kenneth Mau, the company’s senior product marketing manager, who showed the monitor in New York City Wednesday.
Aimed at a demographic that includes movie studios and content creators, it uses the company’s SuperClear IPS panel technology. It offers Multi-Picture functionality, and users can display four video sources in four windows at once, two images side by side, and two images in above-and-below mode. Other features include Ultra HD resolution at 60Hz for jitter-free video. It also features several choices of gamma presets that are offer wide flexibility for professional applications.
In projectors, the ViewSonic LightStream series was on display. The PJD5555W, an entry-level DLP model at $400, has built-in speakers, and boasts brightness specs of 3300 ANSI Lumens and a 20,000:1 contrast ratio. It also provides a choice of five view settings.
