Vizio Goes Negative on Curved TV
Several major TV manufacturers introduced curved TVs in 2014. Vizio did not. Now, that company has introduced a new advertisement that mocks curved TV technology.
The 90-second spot, released on Vizio's YouTube channel, is a mock informercial for "anti-curve glasses," which are meant to make it easier to watched the curved TVs of Vizio's competitors, while at the same time invoking some of the shortcomings of the failed 3D TV revolution. It leads to the slogan "don't fall for the curve," and a picture of a "beautifully flat" 4K TV from Vizio.
