VIZIO, Jaguars' Allen Robinson Team Up for Fifth Annual TDs for TVs Campaign
VIZIO, Inc. today announced the launch of its fifth annual TDs for TVs VIZIO Fandemonium campaign that celebrates the 2016 - 2017 professional football season. Headed up by star Jacksonville wide receiver and VIZIO brand ambassador, Allen Robinson, the campaign will give back to fans and to Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Each time Robinson scores a touchdown,VIZIO will give back by awarding a VIZIO SmartCast M-Series Ultra HD HDR Home Theater Display to a lucky fan and to the Boys & Girls Club in the city where the touchdown is scored.
A second round pick in the 2014 professional football draft, Robinson heads into the 2016 – 2017 season as one of the league’s leading wide receivers. Last year he dominated by scoring an outstanding 14 touchdowns and closed the season with a franchise-high of 1,400 receiving yards, making him the first Jacksonville player since 2002 to eclipse the 1,000-yard benchmark. It was his second-year blowout performance that led him to clinch the 2015 VIZIO Top Value Performer award as the player whose on-field performance most exceeded the value of his contract. As Robinson looks ahead to another standout season, he is teaming up with VIZIO to give back to fans and youth from across the country each time he scores a touchdown for Jacksonville.
“I’m so excited to be heading up the TDs for TVs program with VIZIO this season and am looking forward to giving back to fans and deserving Boys & Girls Clubs across the country,” said Robinson. “I had a productive off-season and am more motivated than ever to dominate on the field with my teammates and put points on the board for Jacksonville and fans everywhere.”
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America provide kids and teens ages 6-18 with a safe place to spend time during summer and out-of-school hours as an alternative to being out on the streets or home alone. Under the guidance of caring youth development professionals, kids and teens get the chance to play, have fun, laugh and learn.
“We are so appreciative of VIZIO for thinking of Boys & Girls Clubs of America again for the fifth installment of TDs for TVs,” said Frank Sanchez, National Vice President, Sports, Entertainment and Alumni Development, Boys & Girls Clubs of America. “We’re excited to cheer on Allen this year as he plays for his team, his fans, and Boys & Girls Clubs across the country.
