Vudu Devices Ship From Toshiba, Sanyo
Vudu, the video-streaming service acquired earlier this year by Walmart, announced last week that two manufacturers, Toshiba and Sanyo, have shipped devices featuring the technology.
According to Vudu's official blog, Toshiba has come out with two Blu-ray players, and Sanyo with one TV, that feature Vudu capability. The products are the Toshiba BDX 2500 and BDX 2700 Blu-ray players and the Sanyo DP55360 HDTV, which is 55".
"This means that 6 of the 7 partners we announced at CES are now shipping products with VUDU on them, and the year’s not even half done," the company wrote on the blog, also pointing to the company's partnerships with Mitsubishi, Samsung, Sharp and Vizio.
