Vuzix Expands M300 Smart Glasses See-What-I-See App Offerings
Smart glasses and augmented reality manufacturer Vuzix announced that its M300 smart glasses now support TechSight, an AR solution for distribution center workers that was developed by Honeywell’s Intelligrated program. The expansion opens up Vuzix’s offerings for the connected field worker.
"We are delighted that Honeywell Intelligrated's service offering is now supported by the Vuzix M300 for connected field workers and is the latest example of a see-what-I-see application that can deliver knowledge where and when you need it," Paul Travers, Vuzix President and Chief Executive Officer, said in the statement.
In a statement, Vuzix explained that field service workers typically benefit from AR smart glasses’ ability to deploy “see-what-I-see” applications that can help connect the field tech with an office-based remote worker. This gives the technician quick access to information that can help them complete a job without the need to stop working to look something up on a phone or computer, and they don’t have to sacrifice a hand in order to hold a phone to their ear.
