Wal*Mart Finishes Site-to-Store Rollout
Wal*Mart announced Tuesday that its has finished rolling out its “Site-to-Store” program. The service, which allows customers to order products online and then have them shipped, free of charge, to nearby Wal*Mart stores, is now available at more than 3,000 Wal*Mart locations.
The program allows customers access to products that may not be available at their local Wal*Mart.
The company said in a statement that after the service’s four-month rollout, one third of the chain’s online sales have been as a part of Site-to-Store. It also stated that customers have saved over $5 million in shipping fees.
