Where do gamers go most often to get the games they want? According to a survey released this week, Walmart takes the number one spot.
The survey, conducted by the Web site IGN.com with the help of Ipsos and Emarketer.com, found that 62 percent of gamers in the U.S. report visiting Walmart, followed by Best Buy and GameStop/EB Games (54 percent each; respondents were allowed to name more than one store.) Target placed next with 41 percent, followed by Circuit City, Amazon and eBay.
The survey, of 1,997 gamers between the ages of 12 and 54, was conducted in July.
