Walmart to Cut Headquarters Jobs
In the last few months, Walmart has been one of the few retailers in the U.S. to show any level of success. But that still hasn't stopped the retail giant from carrying out layoffs at its headquarters.
According to the Associated Press, Walmart will cut between 700 and 800 jobs at its headquarters in Bentonville, Ark. The move was one of several changes announced Tuesday; others include plans to open fewer stores than usual this year, and consolidating some divisions.
The headquarters cuts will miss the company's electronics operation, instead affecting the apparel, real estate and health and wellness departments.
