Walmart Looking at New York Again
Walmart is preparing another push to open in the New York market, according to a report out of the city over the weekend.
Crains New York Business reported Sunday that the Gateway II shopping center in Brooklyn is under consideration for a New York location for the retail giant. Labor unions in the area, however, are mobilizing against the proposed store.
Walmart, according to the report, is seeking an area in the outer boroughs, with a low-income population nearby and demand for jobs.
