Walmart Tops Fortune 500
Walmart reclaimed its spot atop the Fortune 500, displacing Exxon Mobil, as the Arkansas-based retail giant lifted revenues and profits.
The list, released Friday, ranks U.S. companies by revenues in 2010. Walmart's revenues were listed at $408 billion, compared with the $284.6 billion for Exxon Mobil. Chevron, General Electric and Bank of America rounded out the top five, with AT&T coming in 7th and HP 10th.
Verizon was 13th, IBM 20th, Costco 25th, Target 30th, Microsoft 36th, Dell 38th and Best Buy 45th. Apple was 56th.
