Specialty Dealers in Walmart's Crosshairs
The iPad. 3D and Internet-connected TVs. Smart phones. The home network. Distributed content. IP-based technologies.
Those were among the top choices our 40 Under 40 group of young execs (see the full report in the June issue of Dealerscope and keep visiting Dealerscope.com for sneak peeks of the group) gave when we asked them to name the most important technologies or products that will fuel the CE industry for the few years.
We agree with them and strongly believe that independent CE dealers should use those items as guidelines as they develop their new merchandising, marketing and services strategies. Independent dealers really don't have a choice, especially since Walmart has chosen those same items to lead its CE push.
