Park Named LG's North American CEO
Wayne Park has been named president and CEO of LG Electronics North America, the company announced Friday. Park will replace Michael Ahn, who is retiring after six years as CEO.
Park, who has been with LG since 1982, was previously executive vice president in charge of the company's Korean market. The change will take place Feb. 1; Ahn will remain on board as an advisor.
In addition, James N. Shad has been named president of LG Electronics USA, the company's sales subsidiary. Shad replaces Teddy Hwang, who is moving over to become executive vice president of global sales and marketing, for the LG Electronics Air Conditioning Co. That change will go into effect Jan. 15.
