Whirlpool Gets Stimulus Grant
Whirlpool Corp. has received a government grant of $19.3 million, as part of the U.S. Department of Energy's Smart Grid Investment Grant program.
The grant is over a two-year period. Whirlpool said it will match the grant with investments of its own.
“The grants announced today are a great example of public and private partnerships that will create the next generation of energy saving solutions,” Mike Todman, president, Whirlpool Corporation North America, said in a statement.
