White House CTO Chopra Leaves
Aneesh Chopra, who became the first-ever chief technology officer of the government at the start of the Obama Administration in early 2009, is stepping down, the White House announced Friday.
Chopra delivered the keynote address at CEA Line Shows in 2009. In a statement, CEA president and CEO Gary Shapiro thanked Chopra for his participation in CEA events.
"Aneesh Chopra created an important and impressive legacy as the nation’s first chief technology officer," Shapiro said. "He moved the nation forward in the use of technology, encouraged and made progress in interagency coordination, and helped spread a culture of transformation through technology and innovation."
