Wilson Electronics Appoints Bruce Lancaster as New CEO
As it prepares for a fresh push into the consumer and enterprise markets, Wilson Electronics—the parent company of North America’s “top-selling cell phone signal booster brands”—announced that it has hired industry veteran Bruce Lancaster as the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer. Lancaster will replace Donald Blohm, the previous CEO of Wilson Electronics. Blohm will continue to be involved with the organization, serving in an advisory capacity as operating partner at Sorenson Capital, Wilson Electronics explained.
In his new role as CEO, Lancaster is expected to work to further grow the Wilson Electronics business with continued expansion into the consumer and enterprise markets, the company said. In a statement, Lancaster said that as consumers continue to trend away from landlines towards mobile technology, Wilson Electronics can provide the core infrastructure that helps consumers stay connected wherever they are.
“There’s no doubt that mobile adoption will continue to grow, creating a higher demand for reliable connectivity,” Lancaster said in the statement. “Through thoughtful engineering and meticulous testing, 2016’s product roadmap is going to push the envelope of what we’ve already achieved, with products that are easier to install and provide even more signal coverage. While Wilson has been a leader in the space for many years, we are still just getting started. In the near future, we will show the market that our strength, passion and knowledge is better than ever, through our quality products that will continue to enhance peoples’ lives.”
