Wells Fargo Commercial Distribution Finance is the new name on the door.
But the commitment that was central to the DNA of GE Capital Commercial Distribution Finance (CDF), known to the trade as Capital Solutions, or CSHPI (Capital Solutions for the Home Product Industry) – to serving retailers, buying groups, distributors and suppliers of consumer electronics, appliances, home furnishings and bedding with a full portfolio of inventory financing solutions, is unchanged, said Chad Lyon, managing director, during the recent Nationwide PrimeTime! Vendor Show, where the company exhibited on the heels of the completion of the purchase March 1.
“We’ve been in dealer financing for 60 years,” he said, pointing to a legacy of service that includes more than 4,000 CE and appliance dealers, and that he said will continue to grow under the Wells Fargo banner. “There is a long tenure of these relationships with vendors, groups, dealers. We will continue to offer customized programs and terms, consolidated payment systems – simplicity. Our messaging here is that this is only a name change.”
