With Nook in Mind, Liberty Media Bids $1 Billion for Barnes and Noble
Liberty Media last week offered $1 billion for a majority stake in bookstore giant Barnes and Noble- a move seen as largely driven by a desire to own the company's Nook e-reader.
In its announcement of the offer, Liberty praised B&N as "at the forefront of the transition to digital." Analysts quoted by the Denver Post agreed.
The company will reportedly unveil a new version of the Book Tuesday.
