The MiP Arcade robot (Fall availability: $99.99), shown at the recent Sweet Suite @ Home event and designed for ages 6 and up, represents an evolution of WowWee’s robot that brings the game room to kids at home. MiP Arcade is self-balancing, and versatile, in that it offers kids a choice of screenless play or a suite of 20-plus app-enabled games.
This “brain train” game tests children’s minds, memories and reflexes. With multi-player games, they can challenge friends and family to see who can beat the high score – with one MiP to entertain them all. MiP Arcade comes with an attachable hoop at which kids can aim the included MiP Arcade basketballs; the robot’s evasive moves progress as kids get better at scoring baskets. There is also an attachable tray the enables MiP Arcade to tote around cans of soft drinks to players.
The MiP Arcade robot buddy bonds with kids and invites them to interact and discover all its quirky responses, funny expressions and dance moves. It is endowed with top-tier technology, including 80-plus eye emotions and expressions, Bluetooth and GestureSense technology.
