Another Report of iPhone to Verizon
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Apple will soon begin mass-producing an iPhone for Verizon Wireless, which would become available next year. The report, citing "people briefed by Apple," would be similar to the iPhone 4 but use Verizon-compatible CDMA technology.
The report also stated that Apple is working on a fifth-generation iPhone with a "different form factor" than previous models.
Speculation about the iPhone becoming available on a non-AT&T network has been rampant since the device was first introduced in 2007. Bloomberg News published a similar report, of a Verizon iPhone, over the summer.
