Emerging technologies distribution company WYNIT Distribution announced that it will move its headquarters to Greenville, South Carolina, from North Syracuse, New York next year. The most, WYNIT said, will allow the company to continue to grow into the next decade.
WYNIT, which was founded in 1987, opened a satellite office in South Carolina about five years ago and has seen that operation expand to 36 employees. Those workers will move to the new headquarters office at the One Building at 1 North Main Street in downtown Greenville, according to Pete Richichi, the company’s chief operating officer. And over the next few years, WYNIT plans to drastically increase its footprint in the area, aiming to have 200 employees at the new offices.
The employees in the downtown offices will include existing teams from Piedmont, South Carolina—a satellite office—as well as the customer service, purchasing, finance, marketing, components of IT, and logistics teams. All of the other sales positions will remain in their current locations as part of the consolidation of the offices, WYNIT said. In addition, the company said key staff in North Syracuse and Eden Prairie, Minnesota will remain in place.
