XM, Sirius See Slow Growth
As XM and Sirius Satellite Radio wait to hear from the FCC on the approval of their proposed merger, growth has been slow for the two companies, thanks to the slowing economy and especially weak new car sales. That’s according to an analysis published Tuesday in the Wall Street Journal.
The satellite radio sector is also growing at a slower rate than that of iPods, the Journal said.
The FCC indicated last month that a final ruling on the merger will come by the end of June.
