XP May Live Another Day After All
Microsoft may consider a stay of execution for Windows XP. The company’s CEO, Steve Ballmer, said Thursday that due to demand from consumers, the company may have to delay the operating system’s demise. However, he reiterated that the company remains committed to XP’s successor, Windows Vista.
The comments came at a press conference at Louvain-La-Neuve University in Belgium, and were reported by the Associated Press.
A “Save XP” petition that has been circulating in recent months has already received more than 160,000 signatures.
