Yamaha Adds Bluetooth to its Best-Selling Stereo Receiver
On Thursday, Yamaha unveiled its new and updated R-S202 stereo receiver, which gives consumers a “simple, yet rich” listening experience. The new device adds Bluetooth connectivity, allowing the user to stream music from their smart, connected devices.
Building off of its commitment as a company to deliver Hi-Fi electronics for the “aspiring stereophile and season vinyl collector,” Yamaha packed a ton of features into the R-S202 stereo receiver even though its considered to be an entry-level device. It’s engineered around the same concepts as the company’s AVENTAGE AV receiver series, Yamaha explained. It uses a discrete amplifier design, minimized signal lengths, and a high-capacity power supply to produce its signature sound.
The R-S202 also has the Natural Sound profile, developed from Yamaha’s 129-year musical instrument craftsmanship roots, and it delivers two 100W channels of power.
